Trans harnas, 2026

As a non-binary person in transition, I look toward a future without breasts in this society with a mix of hope and fear.

As a polygender person, I face the future with both hope and fear. After years of therapy, I have finally reached the point where I am figuring out which gender expression—and which body—suits me. I am incredibly excited to let go of rigid gender expectations, yet I also realize that I am connected to and living in a society that often fails to understand or support this, or outright rejects it. Alongside that sparkling hope, this work reveals the protective armor I will need to be fully myself in the society of today and tomorrow.

Used techniques: paper mache sculpting, embroidery, beadwork, sewing and smyrna.
